I bought an ordinary gray jacket at a thrift store. It was nice, but it lacked personality. I made a collar out of fabric scraps, then spent several days quilting it and adding cute patches. Over time, the dull, boring gray jacket transformed into a cozy kimono with a vibrant personality.
